Allora on Australia Day week-end?
« on: 17 January, 2012, 05:43:27 AM »
Hello all.
Who's going to Allora on the Darling Downs for this Australia Day week-end?
If your going are you going to display anything?

My better half and myself will be going but I won't be displaying anything this year.
The reason been I just have not got anything I'm happy to display yet. And I have not joined a club yet which makes it harder as well.

I think I'm correct in saying there is also a show at Guyra at the same time. Is that correct?

Cheers then
Scott

I will try and track him down.
Southern Cross is one of the themes this year but I didn't think he'd come all this way.
It would be a good chance to personally thank him for all the help I've received off him this last 12 months or so.

Cheers then
Scott

It was good to catch up with someone on the forum

Enjoy the day fellas.  I won't be going this year even though I've just moved to Warwick down the road.  I'm heading overseas for a few weeks starting Thursday.

I have been once before and enjoyed the Allora weekend.  Hope to make it next year.  Pity I missed out on the Southern Cross themed event - I could have brought my EFE and old Toowoomba Foundry horse drawn plough with me.
Collector and fan of ye olde crappe. I collect old number plates.  Have you got any?  Send me a PM if you do.  :-)  I might even trade them for other old junk.

Hello all.
It's good to see a few will be there.
How will I know who's who?

I'm easy to find. Just look for the fat guy with a beard.
Oh, hang on. That would describe the majority of blokes there :)

Cheers then

Hey M Type, neat engine.  What kind of power does it produce?  Would it be feasible to make one big enough to spin a forge blower, with the forge as heat source??

Cam, Im was coming down with the baler but I am having second thoughts due to the 7hrs each way with the baler and the united in the back of the ute and getting the camping trailer wet and looks like a good chance of a bit of rain every day. Not good having to pack up wet and hope it doesnt get mould before we can open it and air it out again.
We are talking about coming for the weekend as visitors and looking around the area thurs fri and going to the rally Sat.
I will give you a ring and let you know when we are in the area.
