2012 Rallies
« on: 22 January, 2012, 02:11:44 PM »
Which rallies are we all looking forward to attending in 2012?
First one for the year for me will be Canberra in March. Then probably Campbelltown Steam Museum in May. Things will probably be a bit quiet until September with the Macksville & Sydney events.
On the maybe list is Manilla and on the probable list is the 100th Lake Goldsmith Rally.

Hello all.
I'm looking forward to this year.
Allora is on next week-end and then there is a Heavy Horse day at Mick's (Yangan) and then I always get down to Carrara(??) on the northern end of the Gold Coast later in the year.
Hopefully I'll take an engine somewhere this year.

Is there a calendar that shows newby's like me where and when the rallies are on ?

Cheers Scott

Hi Scott,  most of this info is printed in every issue of TOMM, I do the local club newsletter and have a yearly program listing that goes with it and I use whatever info I can find for it. There is also a Magazine, from another chap in SA, that also shows several other Rallies and I also subscribe to that one.  If you would like a copy of my list I can email it to you. Cheers  John

Hi Scott - i'll have a trailer full in the swapmeet area at Allora - just rang Lyle and he says they've had no rain (unlike vegas) so should be a good weekend. There is also a big day on at the Samford Museum (northwest brisbane) for Australia Day. Will take ute if not raining - cheers - Chris

I'll do Australia day at the Australiana Pioneer Village, Wilberforce (pending severity of weather).  Sydney Machinery shall be attending, so I may see some of you there, I'll be hovering in the blacksmith's shop.
Next I am considering the Scoresby Steam fest...
So much travel to consider!
