Paint for a Sandwich Cub Engine
« on: 07 February, 2012, 09:19:10 AM »
I wish to obtain paint for a Sandwich Cub Engine, circa 1930 and manufactured in the USA,  which I am restoring. The original colour is Brewster Green.  Can anyone help me with the specifications of this shade or where to buy it?  Can anyone provide the contact details for Mr Reg Ingram, who apparently has had a Sandwich Cub Engine and may be able to help me.

Regards, Trevor

Hi Trevor , Google is your Friend . I just googled it and came up with Dupont paint code of 246-6505. There is also some photos of Ford cars painted in the colour . Seeing it's your first post i guess your new to the forum ,So welcome .

Welcome to the Forum Trevor. It would be worth asking your local paint supplier if they have the code if Ian's Dupont code is not available.
Brewster Green was used on Ford cars (at least in the 1920's & 1930's).
I have attached a couple of pics of Sandwich Cub engines showing the decal. I am not sure which is the correct one but it will give you a starting point.
