Engine ID
« on: 20 February, 2012, 03:50:01 PM »
Hi all,

Need help identifying this engine. It has no serial number or spec plate. The only letters/numbers are P-240 cast into the underside of the sump. It was painted this colour by the previous owner. Any help with this would be greatly appreciated.

It says VB on the aluminium cylinder at the front of the picture.  Maybe that's the model number.  ;-)
Collector and fan of ye olde crappe. I collect old number plates.  Have you got any?  Send me a PM if you do.  :-)  I might even trade them for other old junk.

It's an Amplion.

I did some research and found that the aluminium can was not made in the same factory as the engine!
