« on: 16 October, 2014, 09:45:11 am »
HI all ,I am a newbi to Tomm, but would appreciate some help about a frisco engine. I work for a museum at Huskisson nsw who have a 2 cyl frisco. It is my job to get it going again, does anybody know anything about the ignition system on these engines? I have not seen this sort of system before. All help would be greatly appreciated.
Regards,
tumbakid.

Hi Tumbakid,

Hopefully some one on here can help you out.

I myself dont know anything about the Frisco engine, but try here www.oldmarineengine.com/cgi-bin/discus/discus.cgi
Do a search for Frisco or ask a question there. Being an American engine and that is an American web site, there a lot of knowledgable people there that should be able to help you out.

Regards.

Hi tumbakid. The two cylinder Frisco should work on a similar system to the singles. They have a low-tension ignition with an ignitor tripped off the top of the sideshaft. The power is provided either by a low-tension generator with a coil or battery and coil or both. If I can help with any other pictures let me know.
