Lycoming CT Engine's Disintegrating Potmetal Oil Pump
« on: 19 October, 2014, 05:01:04 am »
Back in 2011 and 2012 some AU and NZ people (speedtruckbill??) were involved in coming up with a replacement for these potmetal oil pumps on the oldihc.org site...(old Int'l trucks)...
Seems the potmetal cracks and swells in it's mounting, and only comes out in pieces...
The oldihc site was hacked and all old archives lost, more people are having the same problem (David Parfitt, in the UK, on smokstak)...
Jim Tremble, Vancouver, WA, rebuilt a CT and came up with a replacement in 2011 0r 2012, and he's trying to find old notes/info...
Does anyone here remember any discussions about this, know if speedtruckbill is in AU, or know of any of the AU/NZ people involved we can contact for help???
Many thxx for any comments!!
