lanz bulldog info
« on: 01 September, 2015, 11:03:02 pm »
This is a Lanz Bulldog - seems like the tracked models like this are a bit rarer than the wheeled ones. I would like to write an information board about it, but it's hard to find information. Anyone help, especxially with an approximate manufacture date.
The only numbers I can see are Type 38 and No. 125072

How does this one start? Not in the normal way by the looks of things.

The couple of Lanz crawlers I have seen still carried the steering wheel, just for starting.

Hello,
all Bulldog Crawlers had a steering wheel just for the purpose of starting.

How much skin do you loose off your knuckles from being so close to the tracks?

This link might help - 1935 HR8 38HP.  There was also a 55HP HRK model

Thanks for the link, Tim. Very useful. Our serial number (125072) places it in the same era as the one in the pic.
