Hi all
I am looking for some information for my CK 2 has anybody got a performance curve . I need about 10 KW .
the engine has been reconditioned at some time But  ... the crank bearings are not right ! did R&T do semi finished main bearings for these engines ? It wont be to hard to put right I hope . I would like to use it to generate power for my workshop . thanks to all

Hello oldtime
10kW is about 13-14HP, so the CK2 should have plenty. The CK2 is roughly 25hp.

Hello again
What's the rated speed on the builders plate?
You'd be lucky for someone to have a power curve for this engine I'd say.
If the rated speed is 1000rpm then I'd be thinking about other factors such as oil circulation before trying to slow the engine down. Why not change the pulley/pulleys to get the right speed at the engine?

Cheers Scott

Ronaldson Tippett did supply under size bearings for re ground crankshafts on the CK series engines. The bearings were always intended to be hand scraped when fitted.

well am pulling it to bits . Does the crank handle have some sort of ratchet in it  ? I can see a few screws in the crank handle boss. Its all frozen up . The poor old engine needs a bit of TLC . it will keep me busy for a while . Willl have to make some big end bearings ( re Metal them ) head gaskets and a whole lot of Gasket paper

Just an update   engine off to be line bored . have been busy cleaning the bits !  So when the block crank comes back I can reassemble it . It looks like this engine has had a few look ats ! so I have decided to do the job properly . will even get a repaint .Will have to make some missing oil lube lines and lots of gaskets

Hi all update .. its going back together . But   have noticed a few things .....
Were the camshafts hard faced with Stelite or something ?
has anyone any idea of the bump clearance for the piston cylinder head ?
Also the sheet metal plates in the sump floor on my two cylinder engine should there be only one and which hole does it go over ? there is two holes both have bolt holes ?
Thanks to all

Im not sure but I think that your crank handle does have a ratchet system.
