weld repair
« on: 27 June, 2016, 10:32:16 pm »
Hi guys,
Thought you might like to see a repair I did yesterday before and after. This is all weld, no fitted pieces. The damage was right through the main oil gallery.

Regards sunshineman.

Very well done there. Did you manage to catch the con rod on it's way out? What is the block out of?

Coventry Climax also made forklifts and used their own motors in them too in their early days but I think it was a cast iron block.

We used to have a forklift on the farm that had a Coventry climax motor, I am fairly certain it was cast.
