Ahh Ian that's one thing I don't have yet is a crawler.
Only the other day I tried to get a friend to part with one of his two Cletrac's but his answer was "I have two sons, one each"
So no chance there.
Maybe when the UD is registered I might have to start looking for a crawler because I'll have something to carry it about on.
Where are you at? Going to Dubbo ?

Hi Phil, We are in central queensland . If you look in the tractor section there are photos of our toys there . Can't remember if i have updated it lately . Will have to have a look myself . I think i would steer clear of olivers and cletracs .As they had their own track system  and its pretty hard to come up with walking gear for them . There was a story in the TOMM magazine about converting a DDH i think it was to cat walking gear . Ian .

Hi Wattagan Phil and Irish Digger
Welcome to the Forum, good to see some new fellas with different gear joining the gang.
Hey Phil, where is Wattagan?-my Aussie map book doesn't show it.
And the UD, does that have a UD diesel? I'm told they are the Japanese copy of a GM Detroit Diesel 2 stroke?
Goodonya fellas
Teddy

Hi Teddy,
Wattagan is the range south of the lower hunter valley in NSW.
Look up Cessnock then go into the hills to the south.

The UD has it's own 6 cyl inline turbo diesel. Normal 4 stroke format of 10.3 litres (630 cid) capacity.
They have earned a very good reputation it seems so I'm hoping nothing expensive breaks on this one. The tray is 26.5ft long but I plan to add a beavertail of about 3ft for loading.
Just have to get round to some rust repairs on the cab and some paint before putting it on the road.

Hey mate,
Are you on the road up from Gosford?
It's a road not travelled by me. I'm familiar with the Putty Road, once the great truckies back way out of Sydney to dodge the scalies, I believe.

Wrong thread fot this, but I like your story on the putput motor and dinghy. Good one!
Teddy

Yep just peel off the F3 to Peats Ridge and keep heading North to Laguna.
Then ask anyone around where to find me.
