Does anyone know of any Boiler Inspectors, who will look at vintage steam boilers, that are located in or visit Central Queensland. I have a portable that I need the boiler assessed to determine what needs doing and what doesn't.
Regards
Les

I met an elderly gentleman at a Rally last year. He was a real character to talk to and listen to. While he was discussing this very topic, inspecting boilers, as it was something he did seem to know about I read his badge on his shirt. I read it as "Boiler Inspector" but upon a closer look it had the word 'old' in smaller case in front of the title.

Sorry all for not replying- I have been busy locating resources for the project. I have located a company in Toowoomba that work on vintage boilers and have arranged an assessment on their next trip through my area. I have also been told there is a boiler inspector north of Mackay that comes to my area- so things are progressing albeit slowly.

Les there is a Boiler Inspector who can help you in Mackay - His name is Allan Smith 0427549073 and he travels out west regularly. I have known Allen for years and he is involved with inspecting my 1908 Marshall Traction engine and also involved with Clermont Traction engine. Give him a call but be warned he has a very broad Scottish accent. Very nice gent he is.
