I have 2 endless chains about 1/2 tone I bought them because of the simplicity of then, I appreciate the simple design.

Yep, worth saving.
I have a rope operated pulley system at home but it is not an endless one so you have to hold onto it if you use it.

My old man bought one of those when I was a kid and I am still using it. Fairly modern really only about 60 yrs old.

Old Goat, Does the unit you have still the original paint, I have offered to take it off Ian and restore it for display. I think these items are just as important as engines and driven plant.

Here's one on gumtree. Knew a bloke who has a pet Koala, he got it off Gumtree !!

Its still got some of the original paint left but it is an orange rather than red.
