Title: Shed clear out
Post by: GeoGeelong on 15 September, 2019, 05:56:29 pm
Hi all,
I'm a newbie who is wanting to find a home for all my Dads (George Ovens) remaining engine stuff / workshop stuff. It is located in Geelong.
I realise Faceplace is the place to be these days but i dont go there and am hoping there are enough left on this forum who may be able to help out, or point me in the right direction.
I'm trying to honour Dad's wishes and also maybe get a few dollars for the things of worth that are left.  Dad was a skilled restorer of stationary engines in later life (his engines earned many top honours), and he was a mechanic and farmer during his working years.

There are no engines for sale (staying with family for now) but what is left is lots of bibs and bobs and various useful items. It would all be useful for a new enthusiast starting out, or just if you want anything specific. I'll try posting a couple of photos, but I have plenty more that I can send via text if you want to PM me.

For now I will just list as many items I can just to give an idea of what is available. Willing to sell individual items, but am more keen to move on bulk quantities or have an open day in the next fortnight so punters can come take a look.

10.    Hand suction pump to fit 20 litre drums
11.   ?Nap sack? hand pump sprayer (gun only)

Would you like me to put a link to this thread in the Australian Metalworking Forum? Some of the local metalworking crowd would probably be interested in buying  some of the engineering bits like pulleys etc.

Frank.
