New Driven Machinery Board
« on: 01 October, 2011, 10:23:06 am »
A request was made recently for a separate board for pumps. So as not to end up with too many sub-boards I have expanded it slightly to include any driven machinery. So pumps, chaff cutters, drills, cherry pippers, hay balers and pretty much anything than can be driven by an engine or belted to a tractor or steam engine can be discussed in this forum.
Enjoy!

Great idea!
The driven machinery is the other half of the heritage machinery world, after all.

Seeing as I suggested this new board for pumps, thought i would try my hand at posting a picture of my largest and restored open-geared pump - an Ajax P3 with 24" drive pulley - soon to be pipped by a 5 by 5 Buzacott with a 30" drive pulley. This is heavier than the rt diesel which will drive it... I have a few others if people are interested to see them plus knowledge gained (hard won is more accurate) if any advice or parts are required - cheers - chris
