was out yesterday and got a Wolseley style 4 model R ,don't know a lot about it but it say it was for a shearing plant. Will try to get it home in a week or so.
Will need a manual if anybody has a pdf copy. Regards Rudy

I have one of these beautiful old engines--Mine was made in December 1930 making it about one year older than me! ! They are that basic that
you don't really need a manual, but if you go to
www.wolseleystationaryengines.org
you can download an original 24 page Spare Parts Book which
is handy {not that you can buy the parts!} also a single page instruction sheet.
Also worth getting is David W. Edgingtons book "WOLSELEY STATIONARY ENGINES 1909-1975

Hi Rudy. There were 2 types that I know of. One uses a rod and slide mechanism, and the other uses a sissor action driving an iris plate. My 4hp uses the rod and slide. I'm searching for another float bowl and float assembly.

Thanks for that .mi e is the scissor type .the bit I am missi g is the complete brass float assembly. The book shows a top feed and the one one it is a bottom feed which cant work. If you have a photo of the brass assembly please forward it to me so that I can keep a look out. Regards Rudy
