engine 80k up the yarra

i came across this engine walking in thick scrub beside a creek. name across top of fire box is THOS ROBISON MELBOURNE i think they had a factory in spotswood ?.

Robinson was the  Melbourne agent for many steam engines, this looks like a portable steam engine with its smoke box removed.I'd be interested to know the make of engine this is? A lot of engines had the makers name on the hub of the road wheels. Thanks for showing us this remarkable photo !

Nice find Tony, I love it when you find relics in their original as left state. I'm not sure wether it was this forum or the older forum where i posted a pic of a robison that is on a site where we camp on the murray. You can sit, look  and imagine the goings on for hours.Great. Cheers.Pete

Had a look and couldn't find the old post of the Robison so here goes again. I stood beside the engine in the second pic to give you an idea of its size. (I'm 6ft3" tall). Cheers.Pete.
