Electrolite
« on: 22 May, 2014, 12:36:25 pm »
The only reference I have found to this lighting plant is from the October 1949 Power Farming magazine. The caption reads:

One of the Electrolite Automatic home lighting plants exhibited by Electrolite Products, of 400 Lonsdale Street, Melbourne. These plants were designed by Boulton & Paul, Ltd., of England, and are now being built in Australia under licence. Present owners of Boulton & Paul lighting plants will be pleased to hear that this company is now in a position to supply spares.

Hi Eric. Is it 'Electrolite' or 'Electolite'? I have a Boulton & Paul 'Electolite' plant made in the 1920's. I was unaware that Australian made versions existed.

This may belong in the red faces department. Did a Google search and found that the English plants were indeed Electolite, so the Aussie ones would have been the same. A slight misreading on my part. Will check the Power Farming though.

Thanks.
