Boiler Operator & Engine Driving training
« on: 23 April, 2009, 09:59:48 pm »
Hello Guys

I am looking for a training course anywhere within a couple of hundred kms of Bendigo to get my steam tickets.
Plan B is to organise my own course.
I have been in contact with an Assessor and if I can get a small group together he will run the training. Probable locations are Bendigo or Melbourne.
Please let me know if there is anything on the go or if you are interested in a future course.

Hello Dave

Bill is correct.
There looks like a course will be running last 2 weekends of June in Melbourne.
The course covers National High Risk Licenses for Basic Boiler, Boiler Intermediate and Engine Driver.
Send me a message if you want a contact number.
And now the hard part you will need to beg, buy or borrow a copy of the book 'Steam' by
EC Reid & JC Renshaw for your theory.
It is right up there up with rocking horse poo and hens teeth.
