What was this used for?
The handle ends are shaped one side screwdriver the other a pointer YES seen that before
The jaws are shaped to fit something
The jaw thickness is 3mm so whatever it was used for must of been light duty

Hand operated valve lapping tool for those valves with the slot in the head
The gearing is such that it only turns 90 degrees each way

Hi Ian, I bought a 21st century version of the stud remover when I was rebuilding the engine in the Cropmaster. So bloody handy.

Is it possible these are for a push bike? Top spanner looks like a "C" spanner for adjusting the lock rings for the crank axle and the other end either for pedals or has been adjusted by someone to make it fit something else. It just looks as if it has been cut and at a slight angle as well.
Only guessing here. A job I did today was to fit new pedals on a push bike and adjust the all the axle cones and that crank axle as well. Previous owner never had a clue. I actually pulled out my very old bike spanners to do the job. I have had them for around 50 years and one was my Dads.

Ian, just a wild guess, but they could be not for a push bike as Cobba suggests, but a "James" motor bike, for the same reasons as he said.

Sorry hit the post button too soon. Any ideas as what sort have axle this would have been used on. The Sheldon axle Co is a USA bussines that made axles for buggies, wagons, cars and they also made springs.

Hi All
Any ideas on this one, looks like a one off hand forged tool. Definitely not drop forged steel. I don't have a clue as what it could have been used for.

The 2 Sheldon spanners are different in the way the offsets are facing the same way, you would think it would foul on the frame when being used.
As for the unique black tool, would it have been used for fencing?

Hi,
Another unusual tool, don't think it's that old, but never seen one like it before. Made in Germany but must have been made for a market that still used imperial measurements.

Hi Cobbabog
Done my fair share of fencing, can't see a use for it there.
