How many manufacturers of model aircraft engines have we had in Australia? John Wynne commercially produced some 20 twin cylider engines and 3 single cylinder engines .A 4 cylinder motor was also in experimental stage . The motors were known as J W .Are they worty of inclusion with Australian engine list?

No, size doesn't matter, but models would not go in my Australian list. Allow me to expand on this.
What I concentrate on are agricultural and industrial engines. The exception is marine engines. These are often sold in stationary format as well.
If we include all engines, we would have to include aircraft, car, motor cycle and tractor engines too.
My research files contain information on some of these, though not included in my engine list. After learning that there were Australian built model aero engines, I have added them to my files.
Here is another one to look at: http://dkd.net/clmodels/bengines.html
So, though I would not put model engines on my list, they are definitely worthy of recording.

    Hello Model Aero Engine People
Just been reading your latest story re these beautiful pieces of engineering skill,i still possess a Glow Chief 29 purchased in the 50s if my memory is correct it has only about 2 or 3 hours running on it (i found out about girls) still has tha original plastic propeller ,an 8 inch dia by 6 pitch,it is still free with no corrosion still turns over freely. Truly a great tribute to Gordon Burford his design and enginering prowess.
