Thanks for showing us your lovely steamer. I just noticed that the belt for the govenor is run a slightly different way with the counter weight wheel sitting on top instead of the bottom. We are looking forward to seeing even more progress on this little beauty.

Boiler back from the blasters. I put some pot belly black paint on it to stop it going rusty

im on strange shifts at the moment, but will be on day shift next week, and so should be able to send then, i just missed out a chance to get it sent down with some other art gallery gear last week.

I have made new eyebolts for the front axle
They hold the stub axle into the channel iron frame and also where the draw bar attaches to



when i joined the 2 eyes together i got some distortion

Maybe Woody can tell me the best way to join them

After all this time., I only just saw the bit that said "maybe woody can tell me the best way....?"
These parts were rolled one first then the other into it.
You will get distortion if you use a pre formed eye.

Nice and hot, with a hardwood mallet, you can close the second eye to match the first.

I dont think they are unusual, but after lending him a rivetting hammer and then never hearing from him again, i was wondering how it all went.
Wouldnt mind the hammer back if he isnt using it.
