Hi All thank you for allowing me in.

Recently was able to bring home a Chamberlain, backhoe loader. Long story about how I came by it,  Details in further forum messages.

Anyhow, I have started my search for engine parts.   First of all, I need to know where I can locate the engine number.  I believe it is a Perkins 4.236
Surfing the web has not really given me any really substantial ways to locate the number and I have only got to the model of the engine by default through comparing the bore sizes mine being 98.48 mm and most other Perkins motors fitted to Chamberlains appear to be 108mm.
I would appreciate any advice you could spare me.

Perkins usually have the engine number stamped on the left hand side at the rear of the cylinder block. I think your engine will be a 4.236. If you could send me the number off the injection pump I may be able to confirm this. The number will begin with DPA.
