Ferro was a very well known and well regarded marine engine builder here in the States...
A 1910 Motor Boat ad stated had 10 models , 3 to 25 HP. 1, 2 and 3 cyl's, 3 bore sizes, all 2 port, 2 cycle...
A 1911 Motor Boat article stated was going inro stationary engines, basically the marine engines on an iron base, with other details..
Entered the automobile field with three V8 models used in several cars in the 1914-16 etc heyday of early V8s. Undated engine list shows five V8s and a V12 marine racer...
Fell into financial difficulties post-war, .believe they became Ferro Eng'nrg Div of Ogalbay-Norton Company (still in existence?)_ but my scribbled notes unclear, nor did I note when engine production stopped, but might've neen as early as 1918??
