After a McKay hinge
« on: 16 February, 2020, 01:02:10 pm »
Hi everyone,
I'm about to put up the original Sunshine gates I've spoken about in previous posts.  I'm short one half of a gate hinge.  It's the male one with the flat face that sits against the post.  Be good to have it look original.  Have put an add on Gumtree.  Can anyone help?
Cheers,
Charlie

Looks like I might have found one hanging off an old gate down the road.  Drive past it every day and didn't notice.  Go figure?

Spoke too soon.  Simply process you would think.  Old smashed up gate with one and a half hinges not connected to anything.  Found the old owner who didn't even realize they were there.  Now does and 'sheep stations' come into play.  Back in the hunt.

Hello Charlie,
There is a clearing sale at Wycheproof ( Elders) on March 20.
A quantity of H.V. McKay gates is in the listing.
Regards,
Austral.
