« on: 15 July, 2020, 05:14:19 pm »
I am looking for a wiring diagram for a Quirks Victory 15 volt generator and switchboard,
Any help would be appreciated.

I have found that quirks generators were made by Davies and are in fact are the same as the Davies generators. Any wiring diagrams, especially the switch board, and any other information on these generator sets would be appreciated. I think they were actually used as a lighting plant.

Do you have any of the switchboard?
If so take some nice clear pics of it and post them here as there are some very clever guys here that may be able to sort it out for you.
I'm not one of those clever fellas.

There are pictures of both generator and switch board on Smokestack.
I tried to load pictures on this site to no avail.

After some fiddling with the wiring, and a test light while being driven by an electric motor I now have the generator running and producing a steady 22 volts.
The smaller black wire is gen negative and the larger black wire is genny active. Green shunt wire to gen negative, yellow shunt wire to gen active, the small red and black wires are not being used ?.
