As we know, Rosebery only started in November 1921. Langwill Brothers & Davies, who were Fuller & Johnson agents, probably go back to 1915. Certainly by 1916.

I think there is some confusing info
Langwill  called an engine 'Farm Pump Engine' I don't that the engine mentioned (add 1916) is the vertical hit & miss engine that we all know as Farm Pumper  the add says, easy detachable to pump water, drive chaffcuters, separators, shearing machine I don't think how that could be done with the engine we now call Farm Pumper

Ian, it would have looked similar to this, though this is a F&J.

Yes Eric
I was wondering if there was enough power/speed from the pully to drive a chaffcuters, shearing machine

What makes this even more interesting as to who made what and when as in 1917 Langwill was making ?? a Challenge farm pump
In 1922 Southern Cross was selling a Challenge farm pump said to be made by Rosebery
