A picture of the magneto coupling and a manual would be ideal. Thanks Rudy

I will see if I can compress the file that was sent to me for the RS1 magneto but it is not an engine specific just on the magneto itself.

Sorry I cannot be of anymore assistance. Do you have a picture of what the magneto has to connect to? There isn't too many different drives that are used to connect magneto to engine.

I have just been given a big 4 marine engine that appears to be in reasonable condition but it is missing a few essential items such as carby. I wondered if any one had a sales brochure or photo they could post to show me what i am looking for. I have a couple of good photos of it but as yet can't post them. Any advice would be appreciated.

Hopefully Ausdok can post a pic of the carby from his engine and maybe answer any of your questions since has one already.

Have you heard from Rudy as yet> If not try sending him a PM. He does not log on as often as he used to so maybe a PM is the way to go.

Thanks John, Rudy does not have the Commando any longer so still on the hunt, it doesn't look like there were too many of these made, or still in use. Even a small snifter carby to try would be appreciated.

Being a small single cylinder engine maybe an old Pommy lawn mower carby can be bolted on to try it out and if it works may not look too much out of place. OR, a bit of fuel drizzled into the inlet and try to see if it pops.
