Great idea Patrick, I'm looking forward to some surprises along the way.
After engines, if we do trucks, tractors and then chainsaws at one letter per week, this will keep us going for 2 years!

All contributors ensure you type the name of the engine in your post along with the picture.  This will become a valuable photo mini 'search engine' in time.
Collector and fan of ye olde crappe. I collect old number plates.  Have you got any?  Send me a PM if you do.  :-)  I might even trade them for other old junk.

Patrick, regarding the Aveling Barford, as we all know, AB didn't build their own engines, they were made by Dorman. My question is, was the engine depicted actually labeled Aveling Barford? It's some years now since we had one on the place, so I can't recall the badging information.

The engines we had were in the Calf Dozer. This model was also fitted to AB trenchers and, I believe, small road rollers.
