Hi Rusty E,

I've recently acquired a 1934 Southern Cross 6HP PC which I'm wanting to put on a set of Southern Cross transport wheels.
I want to match the setup that appears on Page 45 of Rob Laurent book on the history of Southern Cross engines.
The transporter setup is made up of four main casting pieces:

EB1 Wheel
EB2 Lower pivot plate
EB3 Axle mounted pivot base
EB4 Upper pivot plate
I don't think the pivot pin has a casting number.

My problem is that I'm missing the EB2 and EB4 pieces.

I suspect that, as these pieces were attached to the timber frame they tended to go missing when the timbers rotted out.

I have been able to obtain photos of the pivot setup and if I can't source them from some kind soul, will probably have to try to re-engineer them.

Can anyone help with these pieces?

Cheers

Mark
My main interest is water pumps but I do have 80 stationary engines

   Hello Rusty
I have a 6 horse power Cooper with an engine number S/C 3797,I believe 1936 build date but could be corrected on this date.Apparently Southern Cross used the 6 horse power Lister as a model produced about 700 before Lister took them to court for patent infringements and Southern Cross were forced to stop production. My engine number S/C is Southern Cross but my engine was apparently sold to Cooper as a power plant for a shearing plant as it has a Cooper name plate on it any extra information will be appreciated.
                         Regards    grumdum
